Instruments of PEACE

I want to share many things with you this month, however, the shootings that happened in Uvalde, Texas a few weeks ago broke my heart once again. I hear blame and spread of more hate. I studied in private Catholic schools in India. Every morning before we began our day, the whole college gathered and recited the prayer of St. Francis. I have been saying that prayer over and over again these days.

When I feel I cannot do anything or change anything, the Holy Spirit reminds me that I can pray. I want to invite you to pray with me.

“Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy.

O, Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love; For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; it is in dying that we are born again to eternal life (St. Francis of Assisi).”

May the peace of God be with you all!

Enjoy the summer, stay hydrated.
